The Project
Rebranding of the Greek urban transportation company of Thessaloniki, “ΟΑΣΘ” (OASTH), and create the visual identity of its four new launching separate facilities, Metro - Tram - Waterbus - Bus. ΟΑΣΘ was founded in August of 1957 and has been the only public transportation company in Thessaloniki ever since. The name origin is based on the initials of the Greek words “Οργανισμός Αστικών Συγκοινωνιών Θεσσαλονίκης”, which stand for "Urban Transport Thessaloniki Organization."
The Goal
Update the company’s visual identity by fitting the new logo into today’s modern society's standards and connect the following facilities' logos with the main one so there is an easier direct connection with every logo to ΟΑΣΘ from the public. Apply the same design mindset and technique into the product design and overall give the company the makeover that is going to help the older existing users trust the company’s new branding but also invite new people into using not only the already in business bus facility, but the new individual facilities as well.
